Enchanted Lake takes its name from the tidal marsh at its center, and the neighborhood grew up around it as a quiet, mostly single-family pocket of Kailua. Homes here range from original mid-century construction to remodels on the same footprint.
Canal-Front Lots Need a Different Plan
A handful of properties back directly onto the canals that feed the lake, which can mean a longer carry from the truck to the front door than a standard driveway move. We walk the route with you first so nothing gets staged somewhere it has to be moved twice.
| Lot type | Truck access |
|---|---|
| Standard interior lot | Driveway parking, short carry |
| Canal or lake-adjacent lot | Longer walk path, sometimes a side gate instead of the front door |
Original Construction, Updated Inside
A lot of these houses are still on their original 1950s-60s slab, but the inside has been through at least one remodel. That usually means furniture and appliances sized for rooms that were built smaller than a modern floor plan expects.
- Older interior doorways sometimes need a couch turned on end
- Built-in cabinetry and shelving get padded and moved around, not through
- Appliances swapped in during a remodel don’t always match original utility hookups
Downsizing out of a longtime home
If you’re the second or third owner clearing out decades of belongings, our senior and downsizing crew paces the day around what’s actually being kept.
Enchanted Lake sits a short drive from Coconut Grove and Kailua town, and our local moving crew covers both on the same schedule. Interisland or mainland households should still plan for extra lead time on container space. See the full list on our homepage.
